Global Africa Network media launches its first online SMME roadshow
October 1, 2021
The 2021 SMME Virtual Roadshow, hosted by Global Africa Network, and supported by Dial-A-Mula, is now open and runs online until October 15.
Attendance is free for SMMEs, and registration is at www.globalafricanetwork.com/smme-virtual-roadshow/ . Delegates are able to network with each other to expand business connections, and communicate with presenters.
“As we know, SMMEs are powerful drivers of the South African economy, especially in terms of employment creation and its spin-offs on local communities,” says GAN’s Chris Whales.
“We therefore need to play our part in ensuring that they are equipped with knowledge to ensure that they will grow, survive, and operate sustainably.”
Over 50 speakers are participating and comprise representatives from the private sector, business chambers and associations, the public sector, as well as institutions concerned with SMME development.
Presentations cover key topics of relevance to SMMEs, including Access to Funding, Access to Markets, Business Revival, Running a Business, Technology Support, and Training and Skills Development. The Roadshow also provides region-specific content categorised according to provincial location.
The SMME Virtual Roadshow is made possible through the support of headline sponsor Dial-A-Mula, hub sponsors Lulalend and Avaya, and exhibitors YEP!, MTN Northern Region, Nashua, the Northern Cape’s Department of Economic Development and Tourism, the National Cleaner Production Centre South Africa, the East London Industrial Development Zone, and the Wholesale and Retail Seta.
