Indika Communications announces partnership with leading Sandton Digital Media House
February 23, 2021
Indika Communications, a communications consultancy specialising in small business communications, has announced a media partnership with The Sandton Times, a leading digital media and content outlet.
The two businesses have teamed up to combine their expertise and reach to help businesses and entrepreneurs achieve maximum exposure. It is a difficult time for businesses to make their voices heard, more so with small to medium-sized businesses, and as we kick-off the new year, there has never been a better time to reevaluate the way they navigate a saturated landscape and shrinking newsrooms, all while needing to grow in a struggling South African economic environment.
According to data from Statistics South Africa, South Africa’s unemployment rate increased by 7.5 percentage points to 30.8% in the third quarter of 2020 compared with the second quarter. By building small businesses and entrepreneurs, we are part of the solution to increase employment.
Cindy-Lee Minnaar, co-founder of Indika Communications says: “We are excited to kick-off our partnership with The Sandton Times. One of our main reasons for joining forces is the mutual value and passion for small businesses and entrepreneurs. We believe that by coming together, we can make a significant impact to help this sector in South Africa achieve more.”
The Sandton Times celebrated its 10th Anniversary in 2020 and has grown to be a leading voice in Africa’s richest square mile and beyond and is gearing up for the next normal in terms of content in an ever-changing media landscape facing disruption in distribution, production, consumption and revenue generation, while simultaneously navigating a labyrinth of new channels.
Platforms include a weekly podcast, dedicated video and social media channels and a fresh new-look website in the making.
It is not only a time to think digitally but differently, especially coming out of 2020.
