Being certified as a Top Employer showcases an organisation’s dedication to a better world of work and exhibits this through excellent HR policies and people practices.

This survey covers 6 HR domains consisting of 20 topics such as People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Well-being and Diversity & Inclusion and more.
“As an organisation, we are proud of the announcement of the 2021 Top Employers, with Kellogg’s being recognised as a Top Employer in South Africa. This is a great and honourable achievement to us as employees of Kellogg’s South Africa.” Says, Dana Smit, head of HR Corporate, Kellogg Company.
“Some of our highlights have been the progression of our Diversity & Inclusion Agenda through the Women of Kellogg programme supported by a progressive leave policy and a parental toolkit. Not just in South Africa but globally, we are committed to achieving gender equality. At Kellogg we place our employees at the heart and soul of our business…through various employee engagement programmes, we ensure all our staff members are empowered. Even in an unprecedented 2020, we achieved phenomenal results whilst staying safe and ensuring business continuity, we were committed to our employees, customers, our partners and consumers. As an organisation, we are extremely proud of all our employees and what we all have achieved in tough times. “Continues Smith.
The Kellogg’s Better Days programme is the Heart & Soul of the organisation. It encourages employees to take part in giving back to the communities they serve. As part of this program, Kellogg’s employees participated in creating Better Days for communities through #MyBetterDays moments, delivering food hampers to those who really needed it. Employees served breakfast to 36 000 learners every school day which helped serve 4.5 million meals in 2020. They continue to expand the programme with the aim of achieving 7 million meals served in 2021!
Top Employers Institute CEO David Plink says: “Despite the challenging year we have experienced (which has certainly made an impact on organisations around the globe), [company] has continued to demonstrate the power of putting their people first in the workplace. We are proud to share this year’s announcement and congratulate the organisations who have been certified in their respective countries through the Top Employers Institute programme.”
